Waimanu Park is situated in Waipukurau, Central Hawke's Bay, N.Z. where Touché is the resident stallion. He is a New Zealand bred Sporthorse standing 16hh, and is 3/4 Thoroughbred Pinto. (Touché pronounced Too-shay)
Touché is available at stud to outside mares from 1 Sept to 31 Dec annually, either live serve or A.I.
On the property we, Jill Reid and Gerald Birdsall enjoy breeding and breaking in, and often hunting our horses before they are sold on, and follow with interest all of the Touché progeny, and the older Waimanu horses. Unbroken youngsters are also available for purchase.
Our aim is to produce sensible, versatile sporthorses that cater for all equine disciplines. To date we have successfully bred hunters, eventers, showjumpers, dressage and pony club horses.
We also offer a foaling service, and take in horses for breaking in using a method that keeps the process as stress free as is possible.
